Welcome! I recently graduated with a Ph.D. in Political Science with concentrations in Comparative Politics and International Relations from the University of Florida. My research focuses on international organizations in Africa and the political determinants of their involvement in member state affairs. Specifically, I focus on their role as international election observers and how they are impacting the nature of election observation on the continent. I have conducted fieldwork in Botswana, Ethiopia, and Malawi. I am currently a McPherson/Eveillard Postdoctoral Fellow and, in Fall 2021, will be starting as Assistant Professor in Government at Smith College.
