Research

My current research projects seek to examine the manner in which the African Union is challenging “traditional” actors such as the European Union and Commonwealth of Nations in African political affairs by establishing itself as a critical actor on the continent. I explore the organization’s capacity to undertake matters of political and economic development, security, among other issues. I am especially interested in examining how Africa challenges and contributes our understanding of International Relations.
